About Molly
Molly Naylor is a poet, playwright and theatre-maker. Her first solo show, Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think Of You debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 to critical acclaim which proceeded an international tour. She was commissioned to write an audio adaptation of the show for BBC Radio 4, which the Guardian described as ‘a brave, funny, tough and brilliant piece of writing’.
Her play When You Left I Thought I’d Die But Now I’m Fine was staged at The Bush in 2011 as part of Sixty Six Books, an epic cycle of new work celebrating the anniversary of the King James Bible. The collection is available from Oberon.
Molly has written for The Independent and her poems have been featured on BBC Radio and in publications including Rialto, The North, the Londonist and Pen Pusher. She regularly performs and reads at festivals and events worldwide. Her first book – an illustrated text of her live show – is available from Nasty Little Press.
Her new live show My Robot Heart is a collaboration with band The Middle Ones and has been supported by Battersea Arts Centre, Bristol Old Vic, The Junction Cambridge and Escalator.
